Farmers are still planting corn. James Zea. of Remington, was transacting business here last week. Quite a number from this place attended the commencement exercises at Fountain Park last Thursday. Rev. J. D. Carson will preach at Lawndale again Sunday, at 2:30 p.-m. All are invited. T. W. Daley, our enterprising merchant, did business in Remington last Monday. Miss May Farmer is at G reenfiekl attending the State Sunday School convention —representing the Sharon and Lawndate Sunday schools w The icecream social given by the Y. P. S. C. E. was a success and netted the society $10.75. There was a large attendance. Matt Nisi us was a caller at Palestine last Sunday. Wm. Burnett of Benton county, was doing business here last Friday.
