JUSTICE METED OUT TO TWO WOULD-BE REGICIDES. Two Men Who Tried to Kill Kins George of Greece Are Kxecnted at Athens—Young Minister in Tennea’ nee Shot by Unknown Persons. I ~ Assassins Pay the Penalty. At Athens, Kurditza and Georgius, the two willing tools of the Ilmitzavantis, who tried to take the life of King*George of Greeee and his daughter on Feb. 20, ]>aid with their lives the just penalty of their crime. The men died bravely, else they would not be Greek. They were stolid fellows of the lowest order. Both had confessed their guilt to the military authorities before whom the trial wan had, and to whom was intrusted the carrying out of the deuth sentence. They claimed that the act was n imtriotio one, and that their motive was anger at the course of the accepting the proposition for international control of the Greek finances isunling the payment of the war loan. Although they did not intend to do King George a good turn, it is certain that the two would-be assassins did more than any other person to restore the prestirfl* which had'been so cruelly injured by the war. The minister, who is a young man, was sitting near a window reading to n friend, when a gun was discharged through the window, the entire load taking effect in his back. He arose and walked into another room, where he fell dead.
