Ilotntion of Crop. - The object of a rotation of crop is to obtain tho greatest product with the loan Injury to I he productive capabilities of the soil. J5y a continual planting with the same crop. year after year, tho properties of the koiI required by that particular crop aro exhausted, which Is in a great tlcgrco avoided by alternating with other crops. Thus, if wheat be ho wn for several years in succession, the crop will gradually decrease until hardly worth gathering, while tho same ground would produce a toler ablo crop of corn or grass, owing to tne cnenucal ingredients required by corn being diifcrent from those required by wheat. This is obviaUd in a measure by Judicious ma nuring, but even then.it will not do to cultivateone crop exclusively. Uy cultivating wheat or corn but once on the same ground for four or live year, the soil Is enriched by tho process of nature in thoe constituents required for eaeh pnxluct. In most parts of the country grain is the principal objects with the farmer, and that system of rotation is the bet which produces as much grain ;u possible, without depriving him of hay and fodder for his rttx'k. Jf. X. . in Anurivitn oviiv. Darknr Fnrnndile to Fattening. It is a fact that all animals fatten faster in dimly lighted places, than in the full light of day. This Is well-known in respect - to fowls. From experiments made with sheep, conclusions have been reached that in a dark shed, well ventilated and properly warm, they will make the most mutton from a given amount of food. IJut dark stables aro not good for horses, or breeding stock of any kind; fat is not with such the most important object in view. Good Manxkus.
