If anv of the sheds, barns or other buildings need repair, see that it is done before cold weather sets in; and have the plows harrows and other implement. gathered up and housed, and not left to bide the storm of winter, whero they will take more damage by o'iosu.re than they will by a season's use in the Held. As the -umniur and fall were the seasons to make and gather, so is thisthe time to economise and save. The sucessful farmer will be making observations on the best methods of feeding stock; what is the most protitable to keep over winter, and what should bo disposed of in the fall. This is also the proper reason to look out for the seeds and plant that will bo 'wanted next spring, secure the best kind of seed corn, tnd see that it is whero it will keep safely through the winter.
