Accounts in the last New Orleans papers mention that a summary process had been adopted, by the people of Natchez, to rid themselves of the gimblers residing in that place. It appears that on a certainday, notice was given to the owners of the earning tables, "that twenty-four hours would be aflowed them to remove from the place unmolested. The warning being disregarded, the citizens commenced, on the following day, the work of destruction among the fables scattering in every direction their" occunants! No lives were lost."
