Prof. Ferris, of Muncie, gave his method of teaching Practical Arithmetic, illustrating, in a very able manner, the points too apt to be overlooked by the teacher in the common school-room. Prof. Rice delivered n lecture on Primary Teaching, with his usual earnestness and ability. (lave his
ötctl of the Primary school room, with many important suggestions. Oliver White exhibited his method of teaching Geography; would combine Physical and Descriptive. Ksay, by Miss Anna Harris. Declamation, by Miss Ella Fisher, both of which were very interesting and appropriate for the occasion. Win. I). Stone introduced the following Resolution: Resolved, That it is the duty of the teacher to prohibit the use of tobacco in the school-room.
