At the time this item no particuof the writins of tl lars eoncerning the death or buria' have been received" by the writer. We understand that the burial took place in LaPorte last Saturday, and was attended by a large concourse of friends. " In the midst of life we are in death,' is a sentiment in the Liturgy of the Church often realized. Last week Wednesday evening the community was startled by the announcement of the sudden death of one holding a high position in society and in the Church, ard loved by all who knew her: Mrs. Frank Georgiana Harvey. She was born in Millport. Chemung County, N. Y., and was 21 years of age the twenty-eighth day of October, 1868. She came to this place in autumn of 1866. She possessed a high decree of culture, great amiability, and loved earth and friends with an ardent love. She loved the bright and beautiful world -- all these good things of earth gushed upon her with the fragrance of Divine gifts. She was baptized in the Christian Faith on Christmas morning, 1867. She was confirmed on the 19th day of April last year; and her Christian life in the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, was most exemplary, and her conscientiousness most thorough. In the month followiing her confirmation, on the fifth day of the beautiful month of May, and amid the first white blossoms of the spring-time in Eastertide, she was married in St. Thomas' Church. She was a favorite in the community, and was rapidly rising in influence and in the exemplification of all the qualities of an attractive and holy womanhood. She was a highly valued member of the choir, and a

highhly esteemed teacher in the Sunday School. Her loss is keenly felt, but "to live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." Her burial was with many tears and in solemn stillness, though at the same time with the bright and beautiful symbols of Christian hope, for she approached the grave sustained and soothed by an unfaltering trust. "Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch Around him, and lies down to pleasant dreams." Last Sunday was a day that will ; n t soon be forgotten; by those attendii g St. Thomas' church.
