A Positive Remedy for all kinds of Humors, Scrofula, Scurvy, Salt-Rheum, Carbuncles and Boil,, Ulcers and all obstinate Affections nf the Skin, Inflammatory or Chronic Rheumatism, Piles, Chronic Diarrhoea, Mercurial Diseases, and every taint of the System : Dyspepsia, and those Affections originating in the Derangement of the Digestive Organs ; viz.. Bilious Complaints, Neuralgia, and Nervous Affections. Headache, Languor, and Depression of Spirits, Loss of Appetite, Constipation. THIS excellent medicinal compound was fire prepared by Dr. J. Vf. POLAXD, in 1M7, and was then employed with great success lu expelling humors from the blood; but In 188 a medical friend who wa qt ite celebrated aa a physician, especially in the treatment of humors, suggested some important improvements, which were adopted, and which has made it (so the people say) the very best remedy for all kinds of humors known to " the faculty." This preparation is composed entirely of vegetables, among which are Sarsaparilla, Yellow Dock, Noble Pine, Mandrake, and Bloodroot. When the originator lived in New Hampshire, at Goffstown Centre, for the space of thirty or forty miles around, and in Manchester particularly, the Humor Doctor was well known and highly valued for the numerous and wonderful cures which it effected. Though manufactured iu large quantitiea, the supply was frequently exhausted, and purchasers had to wait for more to be made. In that region, some very severe cases of Erysipelas were treated with, and they were cured I Erysipelas aores.or carbuncles, those ujrly, painful ulcers, were entirely removed wherever this medicine was faithfully used. So it waa with Scrofula aad Salt-Rheum. Tlie Humor Doctor cured them. It Is free from any dangerous drugs, is pleasant to the taste, safe, yet sure and effective in ita actiou.
