Since the remarkable blossoming ot reporters' genius which occurred at the time of General Scott's funeral, there have been few oecassioos on which the shallow depths of the newspaper Jenkins have been fairly stirred up. The impeachment excitement however, threatens to develope repotoiial fertility and inaptitude of expression to an alarming extent. Tlio Washington c "rerpondent of the Tribune in this morning's issue ofthat paper, certainly threatens toequal the magniloquent bosh which was roused by the disease of the late lieutenant-general.
