Too Much Mother.

If we must continually sing about our parents, let us by all means give the "old man a chance." A Sure Remedy for a Felon. This very painful eruption with all the ''reine dies" recommended, is seldom arrested until it has run a certain course, after causing great suffering for two or three days. The following remedy is vouched for by the Advocate as a certain thing from its cwn knowledge. Take a pint of common soap, and stir in air-slacked lime till it is tho consistence of glazier's putty. Make a leather thimble, fill H with this composition, and insert the finger therein, and a cure is certain. This is a domestic application that every house keeper can apply promptly. The Presbytery clergy of Missouri have issued a long manifesto , g:ving their reasons why they cannot take the oath prescribed by the new constitution of that State.
