As it has in the past, the Sentinel will continue to advocate those principles and measures which are best calculated to advance the rnppiness, the prosperity and the freedom of the people from all unjust and unnccessarr restraints. In order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and posterity, the Sentinel will fearlessly scrutinize and approve or condemn, as it believes the public good requires, all measures of tbe State ami National Adm nitrations.
