Incases ofOeneral Debility, whether the rcsu't of acute diseases or of the continued dim'ninioa of nervous and muscular energy from chronic complaints, one trial of this restorative has rue cd successful to an extent which no description o.. written attestation would render credible. Invalids so long bed-ridden as to have very nearly become entirely forgotten iu their own neighborhood, have suddenly re-appeared in tlie busy world, as ifjiist returned lro:n proti acted travel in a distant land. Some verv sii:al instances of thM kind are attested of female sufferers, emaciated victims of apparent inaramus. sangirncous exhaustion, critical changes, and their complication of nervous and dyspeptic aversion to vir and exercises lor w hich tlie physician Ids no name. In ne. vous atlecMonsof all kinds, and for reasons familiar to medical men, tlie operation of t'i;s preparation of iron must wecessari.y be salutary, lor, unlike the old oxides, it is vigorously tonic, without being exciting or over-healing ; and gently, regular! v aperient, even in the most obstinate cases of eostiveness, without evwn being a gastric purgative, or intiicihig a disagreeable sensation. It is this latter propnetv. among others, which makes it so remarkably cfiectual and permanent a remedy for Piles, upon wlpch it also appear to exert a distinct and specific action, by UNnersing the loca tendency which forms them. In Uyspepsia, innumerable a are its cause, a single box of these Chalybeate Pills has often sutliced for the most habitual cases, including the attendant costivtiiess. In unchecked Diarrhea, even when advanced to Dysentery, confirmed, emaciating, and apparently malignant, the elfecls have been equally decisive and astonishing. In the local pain-, loss of flesh, and Ktrenilh. debilitating cough, and remittent hectic, wiiich, generally ii'dicates incipient consumption, this remedy has allayed the alarm ol friends aud physicians in several very gratifying and interesting instances. In Scrofulous Tuberculo.vs, this medicated iron has had t'ar more than tin; good il'eet of most cautiously balanced preparation oriod'ne, without anv of tlmir well known liabdities.
