All admit that the safe way is to insure immediately in some reliable Company. Wrt do not claim to be posted in reference to the soundness of any of them, but from the following notice which wa clip from an exchange, we should judge that the Quaker City Company is above suspicion: ti:e q taker, city insurance compant. The pucr-93 of this company U another pnof f whit an be accoinplished by enrg'Mio men in the business of Insurance, when backed by l.irge experience and actual cash capital to perfect their purposes. On th Iat of January thU company mad a dividend of 12 per rent. to stockholders, after carrying a larire amount to surplus, which thin amounted to 109,746,70. Judging from the extensive busintss done by its Western J3ranck Ofilce, under the management of Cricus L. North, Esq.. at thi city, the Company will bo enabled at the ;lo of tho year to declare .1 like dividend, and carry a much larger amount to their surplus account. North's plan and method of doing business ia to have all Losses paid and paid promptly, without taking the sixty days allowed by the policy, and in this he is well sustained by the custom and performance of the Home Offiee. For the prevention and cure of Fever and A(jve and Bilious Ferers. This wonderful remedy was brought to the knowledge of the present proprietors hy a friend who has been a great trawler in Persia and the Holy Land. While going down the river Euphrates, he experienced a aevere attack of Fever and Ague. On discovering hia condition, one of tho Boatmen took from his person an Amulet, saying, " Wear this and no Fever mil touch yu." Although incredulouaas to its virtues, he complied, anJ experienced immediate relief, aud has since always found it an effectual protection from all malarious complaints. On further investigation he found that tho boatman attributed to it miraculous powers, and said that it could only bo obtained from the Priests of the Sun. Sometime afterwards, the gentleman in conversing wiUi a Priest obtained from hirn the secret of its preparation, and ascertained where the medeeinal hrrba were fttind, of which itwnconiI nunded. Th wonderful virtues of this article havw induced a full belief in the minds of the natives in the miraculous healing powers of their Priests. Since his return to America, it hss been tried with the happiest effect by several Ladies and Gentlemen of high character, who have given it the most unqualified praise. 1 his remedy having been a specific in Persia for hundred of years, lor th prevention and cure of Fever and Ague and Bilious Fevers-is now clfered to the American people. It will be sent by mail, prepaid, with full directions for use, on receipt of one dollar. Principal Depot and Manufactory, 1P8 Main St.. Richmond, Va.
