THE PLYMOUTH DEMOCRAT. , , .- . , .. . rrMr. M- A. O. Packard will address the citi
zens of Uniontown upon the political q uestiona of the day, on Friday, September 14th, at 1 o'clock. ETThe greater portion of the outside of our paper "of to-day is occupied by communications. V ask a careful perusal of them, as they contain m Itter j of much importance. GcMgMiTWiM. V. D. BaaaY, of Argus, says by advertisement, that he ia prepared to do all kinds of work pertaining to his branch of business unsmithing. Call on him if you need any work of the kind. Pat Vr. Our friend and patrons are informed that it ia now "after harvest" and we want them to do as they have agreed to py up. We are greatly in need of all they owe us and we will expect them to rdtm their pledges. XTReadcr, f yu w&nl tne countenance of any of the candidates for the Presidency yo will find direction! where to get them by referring to the dTrtipment of Hoa B. Cate k Co. If jou want the likeness of our next President, send for w of Srwrats A. Dörens. He's bound to win. Ora Dilat. We are a little behind hand this -week for several reason?; our foreman has been 9ick oir pper did do! come until yestetday (Vedn3dav,)Mid considerable of our time has r.ecesssri'y been spent out of the office, which will account for the small ameunt of editoria' matter t hat apDtars in this issue. STTlie P. Ft. W. A C. R. R. Depot, at this place is iow under way, and will be completed as .oou as money and men can do it. The site ae lected is a good one bVmg near where the ware house of Mr. THAYia now stands, on the South aide of the road. The contractors names we have not yet learned, nor the size of the building. ITTb card of the Billiard and Bowling Saloon of Mr. David Vixükdox appears in our columns to-day. Mr. V. opened up a fine bar this week and keeps the choicest brands of both liquors and cigü.ra ; his bowling alleys ara said to be " A No. I," and his billiard tables first-class. The lovers of fun can do no better than call on David. C. P. A C. R. R. By referring to Time Table in this paper, it will be seen that there has been a change ' upon this road. Perhaps, in connection with the above it would not be improper for uri to say that Mr. Hugh Rose is the Conduc tor on the above road, and that a more noble hearted, generous fellow does not lire. He is a model Conductor and possesses the'qualifieation of making everybody who traTels with him as lively as bag of fleas. Iong may he " run on the road." Poix Raisino at Tvjtra The pole raising at Tyner City onThursday last was well attended and with the exception of the pole breaking, the day 'a performance was a good thing. We aro informed that before long the Democrat of that vicinity are going to try it again. The speeches were well received and the best fo feeling was manifested by all the Democrat present. Several Republicans from this place took advantage of the free ride end went out for th purpose of electioneering prominent among whom were Windy Bill and Auditor Fuller: HTJudge Fi'ller the man who thinks that an Auditor is resjonjible for all the official acts of the county tok the responsibility of erecting what he thought was a necessary building on the public ikjuar c, and at the last sitting of the Board of Commissioners brought in a bill for erecting the aforesaid building, but the Board refused to ante, thinking, perhaps, the Judge was taking a little too much land. QctftY. How does Mattinglt stand on the " question tefore the house V For FcLLra and against the Hoard, or tier versa ? Democratic Meeting at Grovirtow.i. On Monday last, the Democrats of Grevertown and vicinity turned out according to appointment, at that place, and were addressed in an able and argumentative speech by Ila.xav ITicgins, Rq., candidate for State Senator, and by M. A.O. Packard, candidate for Representative. The best of feelincr prevailed. The Democrats of that vicinity are a wake to duty. Of the 90 votes in that township 60willbeeat for the Democratic State and County ticket, and 4 for Doi-gla and Johx). j UTK U with pleamre that we call the attention of our many readers to the now column advertisement of Messrs S. k. M. Becker., in today's paper. They have a very large stock of goods, and to judge from the crowds that are daily thronging their establishment must be selling at low figures. The goods on exhibition at their counters ar of the best and Utest styles, of good quality, and directly from the Eastern markets. Those in want ol Dry Good?, Clothing, or Groceries, should not fail to call at No. l,Corb:n Block, as it is a noted place for good bargains. Rev. Mr. Wiley. This mostworthv minister, pastor of the M. E. Church here, for the last year, on Sunday last, preached hi last sermon to his congregation. Having obtained a Professorship in Green Castle College, he has quit the ministry. We regret very much to announce his departure from among us, as he is a talented man, an exemplary christian and a most acgreible gentleman in every sense of the term. We reg ret, also, that his worth and labors were not bette r appreciated by his church and the citizens Y this place, as he is undoutisSlly a nun of more brains, learning and talent than all the ministers th church has had here for fire years past. We most f incarcl y wish it im prosperity and happiness in his new home and occupation. Couavt. We overheard the following dialogue between a young gent and lady a few days since, and give it a place in our columns : , " Why John, where in the world did you get that nice suit ef clothes in Chicago 7" No indVeo, Mollv. Owentboro Amer. NERVOUS HEADACHE. Rev. W. O. Howrd, Pastor of the First Baptist church at Chicago, Illinois who has been a great sufferer from nervous headache, but who has experienced entire relief from it bv the use of WILSON o FILLS, in a letter, dated June 18th, 1658, says: 'during the last twenty years, I have made use of a great variety of medicines, prescribed by Allopathic and Homeopathic physicians, but all have failed; and I bad relinquished all hope of relief, until I was induced to resort to WILSON'S PILLS. These have effectually relieved me, in repeated Instances of late, and I csn cheerfully and conscientiously recommend them to others who are similarly affected. This sovereign remedy is sold by J. B. Dr. C. W. Roback, Dear Sir : For the benefit of suffering humanity, permit us to announce, through the columns of your Circular, the surprising properties of your Scandinavian Blood Purifier and Blood Pills, which is a sure cure for Indigestion and Liver complaint. We have several persons in town, who have been suffering with Liver Complaint and Indigestion, and notwithstanding that we have as good physicians as can be found in Northern Ohio, yet the disease baffled their skill. Consequently wc were in a state of despondency .until we commenced using your PiIl3,through and by the advice of our friend, Mr. Brennan. We used the medicine according to directions, and are now full of life and hilarity, and our gratitude is equal to eur improvement in health and spirits. When w take into considt?ratiop what we have been, and what we are at present, we feel like charging ourselves of the sin of ingratitude, !f we did not try to announce to the nutJic the great benefits of your Medicine. Therefore ü e recommend to the publio at large, the expedietiCV of having recourse to your Medicine, and consequently, as in duty bound, discharged what we feel to be our duty, in advising persons who are suffering as we have snffered, to make use of the only true and sure cure for the diseases already mentioned. Ihn wonderful remedy was brought to the knowledge of the present proprietors by a fr lend who h.is been a great traveler in Persia and ti;e Holy Land. While going down the liver Euphrates, he experienced a severe attack of Fever and Ague. Oa discovering his condition, one of the Boatmen took from his person an Amulet, saying, Wear this and no Fever trill touch you." Although incredulous as to its virtues, he complied, mid experienced immediate relief, and has since always foun 1 it an effectual protection from all malarious complaints. Oa further investigation he found that the boatman attributed to it miraculous powers, and said that it could only be obtained from the Friests of the Sun. Sometime afterwards, the gentleman in conversing with a Priest obtained from him the secret of its preparation, and ascertained where the medecinal herbs wete found, of which it was compounded. The wonderful virtues of this article have induced a full belief in the minds of the natives in the miraculous healing powers of their Priests. Since his return to America, it has been tried with tho happiest effect by several Ladies and Gentlemen of high character, who have given it the most unqualified praise. This remedy having been a specific in Persia for hundreds of years, for the prevention and cure of Fever and Ague and Bilious Ft vcrs-is now offered to the American people. It will be sent by mail, prepaid, with full directions f.ir use, on receipt of one dollar. Prim ipal Depot and Manufactory, 188 Main St., Richmond, Va.
