Mrs. Tillie Smith returned to her heue in Walkerton Friday ,after vi?i.ing with friends and relatives in this city and vicinity for a few days. Miss Nelle DeMoss left Friday ing for a r.'eeks' visit at Logansport and Flora Ind. In the latter place she wi!l be the guest of her sister Mrs. Landis. Mrs. C. G. Baker went to Culver to join her husband, Rev. Mr. Baker and to attend a reception to the new members of the Christian church to be given Friday night. Fred Sanner formerly of this city, now of Mishawaka, called on local friends Saturday eki route to Lafayette where he will attend the football ?ame between Purdue and Indiana Universities, which took place at Lafayette Saturday. Dudley Wiggins ,the congeniel proprietor of the Bowling Alley, will hold his annual "Thanksgiving Raffle", on Thursday all day, and evening. A bountious supply of turkeys, geese, ducks, and chickens will be on hand and ;will make "hi" doins" at the bowling alley. Mrs. JohnPressnall went to Middletown Ind. Monday to attend the funeral of her father Re v. D. C. Linville, who died at Wheeling, W. Va. Mr. Linville was a Wesleyan Methodist preacher and resided for several years at Lapaz, and was for a short time a resident of Plymouth.
