Leak in Gas Pipe fciUed Rooms j Which Exploded When Match Was Lighted Both Disfigured. A $."50,000 -damage suit was filed in the office of the (Marshall Circuit Court Tuesday afternoon, as venued from the Kosciusko circuit court. The. case is Marie Dye versus the Warsaw Gas Company for .$:50,000 damages, and Joseph R. Dye versus the same company asking for 10,000. 'Hie complaint alleges that tiie Gas Company is responsible for an explosion which resulted ' in the terrible injuries sustained by the husband ami wife, when he struck a match in their apartments looking for the source of the odor which was of escaping gtis. The complaint alleges that the couple moved into a certain tlat in the" city of Warsaw on August 'vM, 1!)0:. In the chartging of gas. pipes in the apartment house, an opening had been left in the pipes, in the rooms occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Dye. When they movctd into the rooms, the gas was turned off, but soon aftier another family moved upstairs Wl upon their request the gas was turned on for the building front the mains. The bad leak was -detected and the Gas com-pany was notified. They shut off the gas and made an investigation for tha leak. The ro;m in which the actual leak was located was um investigated, according to the charges and the gas was again turned on. Mrs. Dye entered hex rooms at night,' and detected the srtong odor, which because of her inexperience with gas, she says was unfamiliar her, and she summoned her husband. Together they crossed the hall in the building, and entered a room front which the odor e-mmated. Without her suggestion the husband struck a match and the exnlosion followed.
