Discovery maintains a son's nutrition by cnab. one to cat, retain, dirrest am assimilate the proper nutri tious food. It overcomes the gastric irritability and symptoms of indigestion, and thus the person is saved from those symptoms of fever, nightsweats, headacht. etc., which are so common. A tosk made up largely of alcohol will shrink the corpuclaa of thm blood and make them weaker for resistance. Cod liver oil makes the stomach groan because it is irritating. What ia needed is an alterative extract like Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery, made of roots and herbs, without the use of alcohol, that will assist the stomach in assimilating or taking up from the food such elements as are required for the blood, also an alterative that will assist the liver into activity and cause it to throw off the poisons in the blood. When we have accomplished this we have put the system into a fortified condition so strong that it can repel the germs of disease which we find everywhere in the street cars, the shops, the factories, the bedrooms, wherever many people congregate, or where sunlight and good air do not penetrate. "It has been seven months since using Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery. and I only used three bottles of the medicine when it made me feel like a new man, writes S. A. Miller, Esq. (care of Mr. Amos Hyre, R. D. 10), Dayton, O. I had doctored with two local Jghysicians for quite a long time wiutost receiving any benefit and became discouraged. I read of the wonderful cures your medicine had made for others and concluded to try h. I can testify to the merits of your medicine and feä very grateful for the benefits received. I felt all worn out, and had an awful misery in my back for two years Out noticed a change for the better when I besaa using your Golden Medical Dscovery.1 I feel it a duty to write and tell yon how much good your tnedichies have done me, writes lira. Hobt. M airhead, of Orchard Lake, Mich. Whea I first wrote you I was in very poor health but your medicines have helped me wonderfully and if I had taken them a little longer I would have been entirely cured. Commissioners' Proceedings, The county commissioners .met -jn regular session Monday, May 1st, all members uf the board being present. The board audited the allowances made bv them at their April session and found them to be correct in every particular. Liquor licenses were granted to Johu Zeiters of Plymouth, Edward Bright of Bourbon, George Zelters of Argos, and Robert Kreuzberger, of Culver. The board tuen ptoceeded to examine bills filed with the auditor during the month of April and ordeied those that were In accordance with the law to be paid. The secretary of the board of health, Dr. J. S. Martin, riled his quarterly report, which was approved by the board. Henry Schlosser, trustee of German township, filed a petition for two iron bridges, and the board, after due con slderation, granted the petition and ordered plans to be secured and placed on file for uch bridges. The board then adjourned until 9 a. m., May 2, when the following business was attended to: A petition was filed for a ditch In West townanlp by Wm. Lawrence. Abram Shafer et a)., of the town of Lapaz, filed a remonstrance against the sale of intoxicating liquors In La paz, which remonstrance purported to contain the names of a majority of tbe legal voters of the town. The board being advised of the law governing this case, held tbe remonstrance invalid for tbe reason that It covers only the town of Lapaz, whereas, the statue defines the boundaries as a ward of a citv or a- township, and it was not signed by a majority of the legal voters of North township, but only by a majority of the legal voters of the town of Lapaz. This remonstrance was not filed with any particular person. The Bremen Telephone company filed a petition to build telephone lines along certain roads In German township, which petition was granted by the board. Frank Caul presented his resignation as constable of Bourbon township, which was accepted. In tbe matter of tbe disposition of one Knepp and two Dausman ditch bonds, dated May 1, 1905, the following order was entered. Ills ordered by the board of commissioners of Marshall countv that
Overwhelming Advantages Offered in Wisconsin 1 for Land Investors
Those that have gone up in Gates County, Wis. with me are frequently heard to- say, It is much better than I expected, I only wonder at it being so close to us and not all being bought up," "Why I am overcome with what I saw." etc. etc. My Friends you can't get there any too soon, and you can't go there with a safer guide than myself, I assure you that I 'am acquainted with the country and the people to such an extent that I will guarantee to land you in the right place, put you in safe and reliable hands, so that you get good land as cheap as it can be got for anywhere in Wisconsin. So don't hesitate in going with me and don't listen to spurious characters, who are telling you not to go with Vinnedge but to wait and go with them and do better etc. Say, why didn't these seducers tell you of these good things before I acquainted myself with this grand county, if they have you so much at heart? I spent over $200.00 last fall in exploring this county and now these same envious devils want to reap all the benefit of it, well we will look after that part some won't vc? We have S000 acres of cut over land, good soil, lays nice and a lot of wood on it, to sell for 53.00 per acre. This is a snap must, sell by the first of July. We also have Timbered Land at $10 vp to $r,0 and partly improved farms at $10 and up. I will add the references which I have of J. II. Moller, who is the general manager of John H. Mailer & Co. There is danger up there in th way of irresponsible Real Estate Agents, like the one herein published. Several told me he was a crook, there is a lot of this kind up there. I have the sentiments of Mr. Thomas' letter of warning to me published but withhold names. I will tell you my friends. Ladysmith, Wis., February, 12, '05. J.. R. Vinnedge,, Plymouth, Ind. Dear Sir: Mr. Möhler called in to see me the other day and in the course of his conversation informed me that your last land deal was not being closed as readily as he could wish. He was under the impression, that the other parties with whom you dealt here were attempting to juggle and delay the matter so that you would lose confidence in him and might be induced to enter into a deal with them whereby he would be let out. It is entirety . immaterial . to me what is done in the matter but as you have stated yöu wish me to attend n FoY w 7 n nn

Woman Pinds Relative After Striving lor Twenty-five Yean. Goshen, April 28. After twentyfive years of constant searching Mrs, Clara Belle McKinnis, wife of Wm. McKinnis, a wealthy Logansport merchant, has discovered relatives she has been seeking since she was a mere child. Mrs. McKinnis herself was mourned as dead. Her parents were Joseph E. and Harriet Culp. When she was three years old they separated. The father died in Coiumbus, O. The mother married Samuel App of Chicago, associate of John Condon, the noted turfman. Soon after she separated from blm and went to Fort Wayne, where she committed suicide. II er body was brought to Nappane and burled In a lot owned by her father, John Daugherty. All of these facts have just been learned by Mrs. McKinnis. She was assisted by the police of Logansport, as well as private citizens in fathoming her case. It is now discovered that Mrs. McKinnis is related to Mrs. Adam Ingal s, wire of a rich farmer near Nappanee; Eph. Daugherty. of Picard, Mich., and Flora Scranton, of Jacksonville, Fla. Mrs. McKinnis thought she was to inherit 915,000 and a tract of valuable land, but no trace of it can be obtained. to your affairs up here I take .the liberty of writing you in regard to this matter. Will say that so far as I have ever known, Mr. Möhler is to be reled upon tj do the fair thing. Will state also that in regard to Mr. I have several claims against him now by parties to whom he owes commissions on land sales and some of them. are in the courts now. I also have a demand against him for a deed of SO acres of land, the contract for which shows all payments to have been made last December, and the deed has not been forthcoming although frequently demanded. I trust that this may enable you to decide what course to pursue in the event that overtures of the kind that Mr. Möhler suspects, have been made to you. Very sincerely yours, Theo M. Thomas. Bruce, Wis., March, 29, 1905. Mr. J. R. Vinnedge, Plymouth, Ind. Dear Sir: You have asked me to state to you my candid opinion of John II. Moller and what his reputation and character is generally in this vicinity. I will say to begin with that I can give no other opinion than a candid one. I am in no way indebted to Mr. Moller-and what , I say is the plain truth gathered from observation of the man and his business methods. Mr. Moller has been in this vicinity engaged in the land business for about three years. He has a large family and is located here permanently. He carries on his land business like any other good business man. His idea is to build up a permanent business. Mr. Moller has never been known to misrepresent in the slightest degree, and further than that you will find that he does not even exagj gerate. His word is unimpeachable; his integrity ofthe best and his character irreproachable. The business men of Gates County will bear me out in everything I have said and be glad to do it. . Trusting that I may have the pleasure of further acquaintance with you, I remain, Yours truly, Glenn H. Williams. In conclusion I will add the names of those who have gone up there with me Ml i ' whom admit it better than 1 chimed it to be, all have bought or contracted for land: A. T. Wallace, Charley Fowell, David Fields, Elihu Place, Charley Kanirr and H Berlin. rn r3 rR
