Quite an ice gorge was in evidence in the Iroquois river below the creamery bridge last Saturday. Allen Louks will move to-day from near Aix to the Jim Rodgers place, one mile east of Blackford. Charles Cliff of Marshall who attended the funeral of ilia brother in-law, J. C. Morgan returned Monday. James Sherman of Aix purchased a couple of nice bay mares at the sale last week, both colts and thoroughbred. \llen Louks of Aix has a fine 5 year old mare to exchange for a good work horse. The mare is a good roadster. Jasper Kenton commenced Monday rebuilding his residence, which was destroyed by fire last Wednesday night. H. W. Jackson late of Campaign Co. 111., has moved to his farm northeast of town and will be one of us henceforth.
The families of C. N. Louks, Scott Graham and others near Aix have been having a severe tussle with the mumps. Timothy seed for sale by James Pierce at his farm three miles south of Rensse laer, orders may. be leit at Tuteur's store. John Osborne has rented his farm in Hanging Grove and will occupy Henry Grow’s farm north of Rensselaer in Union township.
