Says the Treaty Is a Trap.

In answer to an inquiry as to his attitude toward the pending AngloAmerican arbitration treaty, Gov. Jones of Alabama replied as follows: “I am not in favor of the ratification of this treaty, either with or without amendment. In my judgment it is a trap for the United States, into which we should never be led with my consent.”
