Remington was visited with another excellent snow storm Monday night, the “beautiful” having fallen to a depth of about four inches. It did not avail much however as the weather turned warm, the result being that it was pretty generally melted away before it could be utilized for sleighing purposes. There is a great deal of corn coming into this market at present, and has been for some time past, but the price of corn is not yet satisfactory, even if confidence was restored. The last price so far offered being 17} cents per bushel, or 7} cents less than it costs to raise it. Yet our people are compelled to sell at these ruinous prices iii order to protect their little remaining credit. We are patiently awaiting that promised prosperity, “immediately after the restoration pf confidence.” Attorney Yeoman went over to Rensselaer on business with the County Clerk last Monday and on his return home, he had another application placed on the inside of his left cheek, to re move a smali portion of the cancer in his face, which had not been removed by the two first applications, The medicine is very strong, and Mr Yeoman says that woids fail to ex press the pain and punishment caused by the medicine.
