Over 46,000 copies of lan Maclaren’s new work, “Kate Carnegie and Those Ministers,” were ordered in England and America immediately on publication. Women prompters have been tried at the Covent Garden theater with success, as it has been found that their voices carry better across the stage and are less audible in the auditorium.
