A novel suit has been entered against the Sassafras River Steamboat company. Thomas Hall claims $5,000 damages from the company for causing him to lose his vote on election day. He says that on Oct 19 he bought a round trip ticket from Georgetown to Baltimore and return, and in coming on the steamer the wrong coupon was taken by the purser. When he wanted to go home to vote, the company refused to acoept the ticket for passage back. He did not have means to pay his fare and was obliged to remain in Baltimore.—Philadelphia Times.
