Condensed Testimony.
Chae. B. Hood, Broker and Manufacturer’s Agent, Columbus, Ohio, certifies that Dr. King’s New Discovery has no equal as a Cough remedy. J. D. Brown, Prop. St. James Hotel, Ft. Wayne, Ind., testifies that he was cured of a Cough of two years standing, caused by La Grippe, by Dr. King’s New Discovery. B. F. Merrill, Baldwinsville, Mass., says that he has used and recommended it and never knew it to fail and would rather have it than any doctor, because it always cures. Retiring sheriff, Charles Hanley, will turn the office over to his successor, Nate Reed of Remington, on the 25th inst. He leaves two prisoners in jail. Mr. Hanley will open a law office in Rensselaer as soon as his term of office expires. He has held the keys to the Jasper county jail for four years, the limit prescribed by law, and has given very general satisfaction in the discharge of his duties.
