Don't forget we are now in our new room and have everything in good working order. The right prices and don't forgetit. C. E. Hershman. Perry Marlatt, a solid farmer of Barkley township has purchased lots in Leopold's addition and will build soon. People that want to build nice residences dispose of lots bought in other additions, and almost always buy in Leopold's addition on account of their size, close proximity to the city and splendid sewerage. For a new school house there is no better suitable site, taking everything in consideration, than in Leopold's addition, as it is very cen trally located for nearly half of the population of the city.

Eli Hill. Lumber City. Pa., writes."! have been suffering from Piles for twenty five years and thought myself incurable. Eczema, sores and skin diseases yield quickly when it is used. A. F. Long.
The June Arena.
The June Arena opens its 16th volume, appearing in a new dress, and being printed by Skinner. Bartlett & Co. It is an unusally strong number, opening with a brilliant paper by Rev. Samuel Barrows, D. D., the distinguished editor of the “Christian Register" of Boston, on ’ The First' Pagan Critic of Christian Faith and. His Anticipation of Modern Thought." Mr. B. O. Fowler, the editor of The Arena, writes in a most captivating manner of Whittier, considering him in the aspect of a "Poet of* Freedom." and giving many of Whittier’s most stirring lines. A fine portrait of the Quaker Poet forms a frontispiece to this number. The editor also discusses somewhat at length igi his editorials, the message of Whittier to men and women of to-day, and the proposed platform of Mr. St. John. Another interesting feature of this issue is Mr. Eltweed Pomeroy's illustrated paper on the “Direct Legislation Movement and Its Leaders " Prof. Parsons of Boston University Law School continues his mastetly papers on the “Government Control of Telegraph,” a series of careful papers hitherto unapproached injhuthoritative character. The Salvation Army boys returned to-day from Momence and will remain until Tuesday of next week. A very special program is arranged for the few remaining nights of their stay. Friday night, June 26th, an Allegorical demonstration representing the social and slum work; the parts will be given by the female; officers of Chicago assisted by the band; the whole will be an interesting sight.
