THEY DECLARE WAR.
Sllverltes at St. Louis Announce Tholr Determlnntlnn to Bolt. St. Louis, June 17. —Free silver’s champions will walk out of the convention as oon as the gold plank is adopted. Their decision was announced to-day to'the committee on resolutions by Teller, Dubois, Cannon and the other silverites who are members of that committee. Such action on their part had been foretold and expected, but this was the first outright announcement of their intention, and created something of a sensation. The threat to bolt if the gold plank were adopted followed a vigorous speech by Senator Teller in defense of his free-silver substitute clauses, and against what he called delivering the party over to the money interests of Lombard and Wall streets. California, Colorado, North Carolina, Montana, Idaho and Utah are the states which it is understood will follow Teller in the walkout.
