"Stump” Ashby Coming.
Below are given the dates for the series of speeches to be made by Hon. H. S. P. Ashby (‘•Stump”) Ashby, Chaiaman of the People’s Party of Texas. Mr. Ashby’s fame as an orator and logician is national, and it is most fortunate that the tenth district is able to secure so able a representative of political reform. His tieatment of the silver question will be exhaustive and irrefutable; the cause of the prevailing hard times will be proven and the remedy pointed out. Mr. Ashby is large due the final conquest of the Lone Star State by the Populists. It is designed to make the meeting at Rensselaer, on the day of the District Convention, July 16th- the greatest day of the series. and an immense crowd is expected. Hon. Robert Schilliog of Milwaukee will deliver an address and leading populists of Indiana, Illinois and Michigan will be present.
