Correspondence of the People’s Pilot. Farmers are about through sowing oats. The mud is drying up and the roads are getting good. Miss Miss Mary Wortle.y is on the sick list. John Bill is improving his farm by setting out some fruit trees. Miss Bell Burr spent last week with her sister Hattie. There was a dance at Putt’s Friday night and also one at Carrs’ Saturday night. Reported a good time at both places. Quite a number of ladies enjoyed themselves sewing carpet rags at Mrs. G. R. Smith’s Tuesday. Rev. Augsberger has postponed his meeting at Union Sunday night until two weeks. Mr. Burr, the new assessor, started out Monday morning April 6. S. D. Hyatt took the train at Goodland Monday for Columbia City, Ind., where he will visit his sister, Mrs. Meredith, for a short time.
