CRIME.

The mystery of the poisoning of the Dillon Taylor family at Craig. Mo., which has resulted in the death of Dillon Taylor, and the probable death of Robert Taylor, his son, and the latter’s wife, has been cleared up. Gertrude Taylor, aged 13, confessed that she was guilty of the poisoning. The banking house of Whitlock ft Fields at Ladora, lowa, was entered Wednesday night, the safe "cracked” with dynamite and SI,OOO stolen. The thieves eicaped on a hand-car. Ira Terrell, ex-member of the Oklahoma legislature; who murdered his opponent at Guthrie three years ago and escaped jail while under death sentence, has been caught in Kansas City, Mo. George A. Rosin, aged 19, of Nevada, Mo., while robibng the store of Hobson Brothers at Pittsburg, Kas., was shot and killed by a clerk who was sleeping in the place. ' Lameroux and O’Neil, alleged murderers of Jim Washakie, the young Shoshone Indian, have been captured in Malta, Mont., and will be taken back to the reservtion in Wyoming. John N. Royer and A. Wilson King, brokers who figured in the Blue Jay mining deal of last week, have been arrested at Denver rfc-.. -n*h mboz zling $5,700 of Blue Jay property. Elseo Osborn, of Kokomo. Ind., has been taken to Lancaster, Ky., on an old charge of horse stealing. Unknown thieves robbed the grocery wagon of John Shook, of Osgood, Ind., who had stopped over night at a farm house, securing property worth S7OO. Governor Altgeld has offered a reward for the arrest of William Cain, murderer of Chesley Finley at Vlrden, 111., and who escaped from the Carlinville Jail. The motion of Mr. Whitely that it is the opinion of the House that the instability in the relative value of gold and silver since the action of the Latin Union in 1873 had proved injurious to the best interests of the country, and it urges upon the government the advisibility that they do their utmost to secure an international agreement, was adopted in the British House of Commons without division. A Cape Town dispatch says that the government officials have found rifles and ammunition stored in the De Beers mine, but no machine guns.
