St. Nicholas' White Horse.

In Holland St. Nicholas is a reality but he comes driving a white horse and not reindeer. The children are taught to be thoughtful for the welfare of the white steed, and -on Christmas eve each pair of little shoes is carefully cleaned and being filled with oats and hay they are placed on the hearth. The hay and oats are for the good saint’s white horse. In the moaning the hay and oats are gone and in their place are found toys and sweetmeats for the good children and rods for the bad ones.—Exchange.
