Fire at Buffalo, N. Y.

Buffalo, N. Y., Jan. 15—The large warehouse of S. 8. Jewett & Co., stove manufacturers, at the corner of Mississippi and Perry streets, was destroyed by fire last night.’ The loss is about $250,000, fully. insured. The origin of the fire is not known, but it is supposed to have been from a lighted match carelessly thrown by some workman into a pile of combuutillc material in the building. S. P. Ming, for twenty-three years a justice of the peace in Appleton, W 1&, is dead. He was seventy-eight yean old.
