Seattle, Wash., Jan. 15.—The state immigration convention by resolution memorialized congress to give the state an absolute grant to all the arid lands within the state and to do away with many of the provisions in the original grant It also asks the national legislature to amend the federal Jaws so as to make it necessary for all applicants for citizenship to be able to read and write.
