EMMET L. HOLLINGSWORTH.

Mr. Hollingsworth was born Jan. 22, 1804. in New Lisbon, Columbia county, Ohio. He came with his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Hollingsworth, to Rensselaer in 1806. The family settled west of the Iroquois river, where the subject of this sketch still resides. He received a common school education and after two years in the State University of Michigan, he began his business career in A. McCoy & Thompson's bank, of this to\Vn. He continued there until April. 1805, when he. withdrew to take the cashiership oh the Commercial State Bank. He was married Dec. 31, 1887. to Miss Fannie M. Allen, of Kalamazoo, Mich. They have from this union three living children. Cecilia G.; Lois Dorothy and Gerald Emery. Both he and his wife are' members of thp Presbyterian church, and have been energetic workers in its behalf. He is also an enthusiastic member of the Masonic fraternity.
