Wall Map of Jasper County.

J.R.Faris.of Faris,Beek & Co.. Chicago, is in the city this week investigating the field with a view of publishing a map of this county. It is a work of greatest utility and convenience, and will undoubtedly be liberally encouraged. Their prospectus is as follows: “An experimental canvass will be made for the sale of a Map of Jasper county, and if the patronage will justify, a Farm and School Map will be published, combining essential features which will adapt it to commercial, school and home use. Such a publication will be of great value to patrons and a lasting credit to the county. The map will be on a scale of 1| inches to the mile, and will show the boundaries of the county, its subdivision by townships, dis. tinctly colored; cities, villages and towns, streams, wagon roads, railroads, school houses, farm properties with owners names and acreage where space will admit. Separate plats of towns and villages will be shown colored by divisions. The map will be illustrated on its margin with photo half-tone reproductions of some of the private and other buildings, and will be mounted on cloth with tapo edges, making it not only durable but ornamental.”
