Correspondence of People’s Pilot. Every one is pleased to see the rain. Most all the farmers are completing there corn husking. Miss Bertha Nowels of Rensselaer spent the week with Miss Grace Caldwell. Miss Jennie Lardner of Goodland spent a few days with friends in our city. Miss Anna Hilman will give a box social at No. 7 school house next Friday evening, November 15, the proceeds to be invested in books. Frank Haskrll, who has been working in a restaurant in Kentlaed, has return to our city to remain a while. Next Sunday is the regular appointed time for services at the M. E. church. Services both day and evening. The schools of Jackson township open wide their doors this week. The teachers feel stronger and more able to teach the pupils than they did before attending institute. Why not? After listening to such able instructors as Tompkin and Bassett, and a fine lecture delivered from Dr. John. The usual quarterly meeting
was held at Mt. Ayr, last Sunday. Elder Wilson was present and delivered a good sermon. A gookly number of people were present.
