If the greenbacks are burned liberty will freeze to death. The gold reserve has concluded to take a trip to Europe. The democratic bosses are now making some more promises. The oftener you read the Omaha platform the better you will like it. According to the plutocrat an honest dollar is a better one than he gave. Otto Thum denominates Grover Cleveland as the “loan fisherman.” Vote against the pompous plutocrats •who call the people cattle and fools. The democratic party favored chattel slavery and now favors debt slavery. The people are coming to us on the railroad question; don't give up the fight on that. Senator John Sherman has a good joke on Senator Peffer. Mr. Peffer has a son named Sherman. The Sherman-Rothschild factions of the two old parties talk of organizing another new party. America governed by an English protectorate! That is where the gold standard is leading us. Money is reported “easy” in NewYork and Loudon. But it is darned hard (to get) further west. The republicans will do something in the next congress; they will warm their seats and draw their salaries.
If you want to be a democrat you want to get out of the democratic party, for it is no longer democratic. If the government can carry our letters and parcels up to four pounds, why can’t it carry us and our freight? The democratic party ought to officially declare what the plaform of 1892 means on the silver question. Discrimination by a citizen or corporation against any money of the United States government is treason. The gold reserve is paternalism for the special benefit of a few importers of foreign goods, and exporters of gold. Our national treasury now assumes the attitude of a beggar, soliciting alms from the bankers of New York and London. There is a very large crop of corn this year, but the interest crop will also be larger than usual, as it is increasing all the time. There is enough politics in the sermon on the moun': to damn both old parties, but most of the preachers are afraid to use it. If the democratic party had never done anything else bn* give us Grover Cleveland it would le enough to condemn it forever. The price of corn is going down and railroad rates are going up. That is one of the ways the farmers are being robbed. The price of money going up is another, and worse.
All the bankers, railroad kings, trusts and owners of combines are in the two old parties and are fostered by them. They vote the democratic and republican tickets. Do you vote with them? The difference between the republican party and democratic party on the silver question is that the former used fraud when it demonetized silver, and the latter bulldozed it through Congress. The paper that suggests that a man's political opinion can be changed by a change in the weather or a big crop of corn, insults American intelligence. That paper regards the voters simply as fools. One reason the two old parties don't like the populists is, the populist platform contains so much that is good that neither one of the two old frauds can make a platform to suit the people without copying after it. Over $25,000,000 a year is stolen from bank depositors in the United States. This amount in silver would weigh seven hundred and fifty tons. Now you can see why the bankers are all howling against silver. It’s too heavy carry.—Chicago Express.

The masses don’t need them. They vote as they are told. Whenever the bosses decide the question the masses are informed and they fall into line.
