Dank Directors Meeting.
The Directors of The Commercial State Bank of this town met at their rooms in the bank Tuesday morning for the purpose of reviewing the first six months business. The books show that the deposits have steadily increased, being at this time in excess of 170,000. A dividend of six per cent on the capital stock having been earned in the first six months, the directors, in pursuance of their policy of accumulating a surplus, ordered the whole of net earnings carried over, declared no cash dividend. This bank opened for business on the 2nd day of April, 1895, in the loom vacated by the Citizens State bank, which discontinued business. Directors are as follows.Addison Parkinson. John M. Wasson, Geo. K. Hollingsworth, James T. Randle and Emmet L. Hollingsworth. This bank is one among the solid and responsible business institutions of our town, and deserves a share of the public patronage. The growth of its business during the first half year speaks well for its prosperity in the community.
