TO FIGHT IN ARKANSAS.

Corbett-Fltzslmmon« Contest May Take Place at Hot Springs. Dallas, Tex., Oct. 10. —So far as Texas is concerned, the Florida Athletic club no longer exists. So far as prize fights are concerned, all contracts heretofore made in New York or elsewhere for contests to take place in Texas under the Florida Athletic club’s auspices have been declared off. At 5 o’clock yesterday morning it was determined to transfer the headquarters of the club to Hot Springs, Ark., and to pull off the Corbett-Fitzsimmons, the MaherO’Donnell and the Ryan-Smith fights at that place on the original dates scheduled for Dallas. No formal contracts to this effect were entered into but a satisfactory understanding embodying these arrangements were arrived at. Little Rock., Ark., Oct. 10. —A special telegram from Hot Springs says Mayor Waters of that place telegraphed from Dallas, Tex., that both Corbett and Fitzsimmons are willing to pull the fight off at Hot Springs and that the mill would probably take place there. Governor Clark said that he had nothing further to say about the business. The fight he asserts will not take place on Arkansas territory.
