Old Settlers Day.

Arrangements are being perfected to have two grand fete days in Rensselaer Oct. 3 and 4. The first day will be “Old Settlers’ Day." and the prominent features of the program will be a speech by Senator Turpie and an historical localization by Simon P. Thompson. A balloon ascension and a barbecue will also be indulged in. The second day will be devoted to athletic sports, bi ycle races, horse races, base ball, etc. Bicyclists are expected from Lowell and Kenton. The details for the occasion have not all been decided upon, and fuller particulars will be given in next week's Pilot.
