Obituary.

Benjamin Franklin Fisher was born iu Marion county, Ind., Oct. 18, 1854, and died from injuries received while in the service of the Louisville, New Albany & Chicago railway July 19, 1895, aged 41 years, 9 months, 1 day. He was the sixth in a family of ten children, five of whom still survive him. He was married Nov. 4, 1875, to Mary Percilla Huff of Marion county, Indiana. The first of this union was two children, onlv one of whom, William, is still living, the other dying in infancy. In the autumn of 1876 he, with his family, removed to this county, where he resided near Rensselaer until his death. Sept. 21, 1879, his companion was called away from earth. Feb. 14, 1883, he was married to Mary O. Nichols of this county, who. with five little orphaned children, are left to mourn him. Jan. 14, 1885, he and his wife united with -the Primitive Baptist church, of which they both continued faithful and exemplary members until the day of his awful death. Throughout life he had few if any enemies but a multitude of friends. The funeral occurred from the Primitive Baptist church at 10:30 a. m. Sunday, July 21, Rev. W. R. Nowels, assisted by Rev. B. F. Furgeson. officiating. Interment was in Weston.
