A Picnic Party.
Written for People’s Pilot. On the Friday of last week, Twelve young ladies, pleasure to set«k. Found their way to Peacock’s grove. Where to have a jolly time they strove Arrayed in sunbonnets and with ba-ketr-eraniined. The wagon being seatie**, they were obliged to stand; But ihey enjoyed it with a shout and cheer. And of any danger they had no fear. There were Edith and Bertha and laughing Grace. Hattie, ai.-o, with a smiling face. Jollle Kitty and Iva gay Were more of the crowd on that tine day There was also Bertha with Jet black hair And frownli g Nora with face so fair; Florence and Laura were more of the t roop. Leota and Manila completed the group. A very delicious dinner they had. Then through the woods, with heart- so glad. They gathered ferns and beautiful Sowers. Thus whiling away the happy hours. The floating gang of the Air Line, containing about 15 men, are now stationed here. They are graveling track and will be located here for about three weeks, having quarters at the Newel's House, Fisher’s and the Corner House.
