John Ultn jr. of Jordan township has a child very sick with typhoid fever. John Read jr. of Jordan township buried an infant child last week, which died of typhoid fever. S. T.Hamacher strayed in from Fair Oaks Wednesday morning and took a peep at the Pilot’s big new press. Addison Hensler, son of Geo. Hensler of Carpenter township near Remington, is very sick with typhoid fever. The farmers are improving every moment now pushing spring's work during this magnificent weather, and few find time to come to town except of absolute necessity. Bazil Hunt of Remington was in town Wednesday looking after pasturage for stock, and very naturally dropped in upon the Pilot folks. Mr. Hunt voted for Peter Cooper when the republicans deserted in 1876, by changing its platform from the principles upon which it came into power and prosecuted the civil wa-r to a successful close, and he has ever since been consistently true to those early teachings of the grand old party.
