Haupt in the United States •court yesterday the government i.;u- - •duced additional evidence of the cxi-. mislve swindling operations of the Mounj ‘tain Mining Loan and Investment coml pany. It was shown the mining property claimed to represent the company's •capital stock of $12,000,090 was not worth •over a few hundred dollars at the most. iSince the mails have been closed against the concern its business is carried on •through the express offices, and its re•ceiuts are said to have been heavy.
