Surprised on Her 14th Birthday.
Last Wednesday March 6, was the occasion of the 14th birthday of Miss Katie Collins and in honor of that event her classmates at school decided to give that popular young lady a grand surprise party. Accordingly invitations were written and sent to each member of the class, including a few outside friends. At 7 o’clock in the evening the young people met at the home of Miss NoraMorlan and with their teacher, Miss Wharton, as chaperon marched to Miss Katie’s home, and with glad exclamations rushed in upon her. The evening was spent very pleasantly at games. Refreshments consisting of oranges, bananas, candy and cake, were served, and at 10 o'clock the company bade their little hostess good-night, wishing her many more such happy anniversaries.
