The League had, as usual, a full meeting at 6 o’clock, i'he evening congregation was "avored with au admirable dis course by a r< prisentative of he Chikb en'sllume S< c.eiy, the Rev P. M. Elliott, of Cravvfordsville. He explained the mission and methods of the society, and gave a thrilling account of the good work it. is doing for homeless children, picking up the little friendless ones, and finding for them good Christian homes! Surely nothing can be more truly Christ-like than saving homeless •hiidren fromwantand vice, and vi *e, and putting them in training to become useful citizens. The pity is that every citizen of he town did not have the privilege of hearing Mr. Elliott's discourse. * *
