Mrs. Mary Clenfent Leavitt, in her travels around the world, found in China a Heavenly * Foot society, the members of Which are young men pledged not to marry women whose feet are smaller than natural expansion would produce. She suggests a Heavenly Waist society might be formed to advantage among tbe American youth.
