Hay pressing is the order of the day. The dredge north of town is working again since Hip fall .ains have furnished enough water to float it. Rev Summers has been conducting a very interesting meeting at the Christian churah the past three weeks. Several new houses are building in Wheutlield. Wp are glad to see our town growing. Albert Keene, our undertaker, has purchased a new hearse, something this community has long needed. Wheatfield is to have another general store. Mr. A. P. Rockwell, of GUlam, is the proprietor.
Mr'.' Rockwell will find a hearty welcome from our people. The I. I. I. railroad is intending to. put regular pasaengej trains on the road after January 2. Their road will by that time be completed to South Bend. It lias always been inconvenient for our people to travel upon this road« for th« trains had to stop at every haybarn and stock yard on the line, consequent y we made no connect ion with other roads, and had no assurance of getting to any place when we started. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ballengei visited friends in Wheatfielo Sunday. Wheatfield is to have anothei restaurant and fruit store. Mr Jeorge D. Anderson, proprietor. Simon Fendig, i 10 tie ;ity last week and bought a fin* line of holiday goods.
