Explosive on the Track.

De Kalb, 111., Sept. 19.—A parcy of bridge builders for the Northwestern railway had a startling experience Tuesday morning, which might have resulted more seriously than it did. Going south from this place on a handcar, when about a mile south of Elva they ran over some sort of an explosive which had been carefully placed on one of the rails. The stuff exploded with a noise like the report of a gun, completely wrecking the car and injuring all of the seven men, three of them seriously.
