Alliance Notes.
The principal cause of some few departing from I,lm Alliance principles seem to be this: By nature they are not fitted for the t.rying ordeal of suppressing prejudice and selfish ambition. ••To constantly strive to secure harmony and good will among mankind.” How cun those who are not pure in heart comply with the command? Man allows his better nature to reign? Cast off selfish feelings and take on the bettor and more humane principles of justice t 6 all.

Credit doos not encourage thrift, which comes from economy and saving. Credit helps to keep the working man depen dent, and at the mercy of his employer. Credit increases the cost of living and distribution, and otherwise ulTocts the cost of production, in every branch of manufacture, at least twenty-live per cent. Credit inflicts upon the community a frightful tux for the support of an army of accountants, laxvyers, and others, and this tax falls upon the consumers.
