C. C. Sigler has a hay press running in full blast in the Valley. Miss Blanche Hayes began school Monday at No. 6, in Marion township. Warner Hopkins is talking of going to Chicago to attend the World's Pair to-day. Elvin Overton gpettt Saturday night and Sunday‘with friends and relatives at Lee. J. P. Overton, of Pleasant Ridge, spent a couple of days last week, with his two sons, Elvin and Handle,- of this place. As the school year is about to open, the “School Boy.” who has been so long silent will try to Write’ a few letters for your paper again. We are glad to inform! our readers that Wilbur Tharp, our old teacher. will teach our school again this winter beginning next Monday. Rev. B. F. Ferguson preached to a large audience at the Chapel Saturday evening and Rev. Simonton delivered an interesting discourse on Sunday afternoon. Owing to the dry weather the fires along the railroad have been very numerous and destructive this summer. Another fire Monday burned a large rick of hay for Wat Reynolds, and burned over an extensive tract of land. School Boy.
