Chicago, May 3. —Witnessed by representative women of the land, the board of lady managers of the World’s Columbian commission, officials of the exposition, the president of the United States and several hundred invited guests, the ceremony attending the dedication of the Woman’s building—that magnificent testimonial to the aehieve-

ments of worn ankind—was held at Jackson park at 3:30 p. m. The exer- : cises were most interesting, including brief addresses by President Cleveland and Mrs. Potter Palmer, the driving of the golden nail which signified the completion of the building, and speaking by distinguished representatives of foreign nations.
